A diversion hydropower plant located on the Lesichovo-Striama irrigation canal, the plant operates on a seasonal basis depending on the need and availability of water for irrigation of agricultural land in the area. The plant operates under separate modes during the irrigation and non-irrigation seasons. During the irrigation season, the discharged water is returned to the Chernogorovo irrigation canal, while during the non-irrigation season, it is discharged into the Luda Yana River.
