The “Chomakovtsi” Mini Hydropower Plant (MHPP) is a run-of-river hydropower plant with low head. The plant is located on the right bank of the Iskar River, between the town of Cherven Bryag and the village of Chomakovtsi, near the canal between the villages of Gornik and Chomakovtsi. The facilities of the plant fall within the territory of Cherven Bryag municipality, Pleven region.

Water intake will be conducted from the existing irrigation canal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The plant will primarily operate during the non-irrigation season.
