Description

At the beginning of 2026, we successfully completed another energy storage project, highlighting the key role of battery systems in modern renewable energy solutions.

The project included the installation and commissioning of three battery energy storage systems with a total power capacity of 300 kW and a total storage capacity of 699 kWh, integrated into a photovoltaic power plant designed and delivered by the GES Energy team.

The solution provides greater flexibility, optimized energy management, and improved overall system efficiency.

Liliya graduated from the Technical University of Sofia with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Sources. Her interest in photovoltaics began during her studies, and she has been professionally involved in the field since 2007, when she took part in the design of the first megawatt-scale photovoltaic plant in Bulgaria.

Since then, she has been actively engaged in the design of rooftop and ground-mounted solar installations in both Bulgaria and across Europe, including energy storage facilities.

Since the spring of 2025, she has been working at GES Energy, where she is responsible for organizing the entire design process and serves as an electrical design engineer.

Yavor Kirov

Yavor Kirov is an electrical engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia. He has over three years of experience in the design and construction of photovoltaic power plants, both rooftop and ground-mounted. Over the years, he has participated in numerous projects related to energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, and the implementation of smart technologies for electricity management.

Since the spring of 2025, Yavor has been part of the engineering team at GES Energy AD, where he holds the position of Electrical Design Engineer. In this role, he is responsible for preparing investment projects for photovoltaic power plants, power supply installations, and energy storage systems.

Eng. Stanislav Pandev has been in the construction industry for over 7 years. He graduated with a degree in Applied Geodesy from UACEG, Sofia, in 2018, and holds full design certification in his field. He worked as an investor control specialist in building construction for four years.

Stanislav joined GES Energy in the fall of 2023 as a Project Manager and was promoted to Technical Director in the spring of 2025. His responsibilities include overseeing, organizing, and controlling the entire process of constructing future photovoltaic power plants.
